Economics and self-awareness, the case of applied universities in the Netherlands
Economics as a science and as being tauch in education is currently being seriously questioned. In his presentation, Frank Jan de Graaf will discuss what mainstream economics education can learn from practices at universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands (HBO). We will also pay attention to where changes need to occur within applied universities, within ‘hogescholen’. Self-awareness is critical in economic transformation.
