Studenten worden enthousiaster om te leren met aansprekende werkvormen. Voor een docent is het ontwerpen van werkvormen nog lastiger als deze in de praktijk getoetst moeten worden en onderbouwd moeten worden met wetenschappelijke inzichten. De afdeling Corporate Governance en Leadership van de HvA heeft op basis van hun praktijkonderzoek een handboek gemaakt met modellen, werkwijzen en cases. In deze sessie presenteren collega’s Marion Smit en Gert de Jong een sneak preview van hun Soft-Controls Scan werkwijze. Zij nemen je mee door de vragenlijst voor soft controls (controlemaatregelen op basis van gedrag en cultuur). Aan het einde van de workshop heb je inzicht in hoe je soft control kunt meten met een scan. Zelfs voor wie nooit met de scan gaat werken geeft de workshop inzicht in soft control en het omgaan daarmee in organisaties.

Students are more enthusiastic to learn when the work methods are appealing. For a teacher, designing working methods is even more difficult when they have to be tested in practice and substantiated with scientific insights. The Corporate Governance and Leadership department of the AUAS has created a handbook with models, working methods and cases based on their practical research. In this session, colleagues Marion Smit and Gert de Jong, will present a sneak preview of their Soft-Controls Scan working method. They will take you through the questionnaire for soft controls (control measures based on behavior and culture) with the answer scheme. By the end of the workshop, you will have an understanding of how to measure soft control with a scan. Even for those who will never work with the scan, the workshop provides insights into soft control and dealing with it in organizations.
