Economics education plays a crucial role in preparing young people for (further) participation in society and the labor market. It gives them action perspectives to help build companies and the economy of the future. Even - or perhaps especially - now that social developments such as growing social inequality, digitalization, climate change and biodiversity loss are changing the playing field, this preparatory function of economics education is important. To continue to do that well, it is necessary to integrate new models and principles into economics education. 

Within many educational institutions, this is already being worked hard on. At the same time, there are still plenty of challenges. Finding space to enrich lessons, subjects or curricula within the existing frameworks is a difficult task. Where do you start? How do you tackle it? 

During the Week of Economics Education, colleagues in the field answer this from their own experience. Through workshops, presentations and sample lessons throughout the Netherlands, they share how they enrich their education with new economic thinking and current social developments. It is the perfect time to talk to each other and feed each other with tips and inspiration.
