Week of Economics Education
Together for forward-looking economy education
Future-oriented economics education
Economics education gives young people an important foundation they need to shape tomorrow's society and economy. If we want to move toward a society that stays within the limits of the planet, offers equal opportunities and puts well-being for all at the center, then we need to build education that teaches young people how to manage this. Then we educate a generation that makes choices that go beyond profit and growth, but contribute to broad prosperity - now and in the future.
Education layers
Regardless of the layer of learning or (vocational) education, there is room in economics education to enrich lessons with broader economic theories. What room there is, and how new economic thought frameworks can find a place in teaching practice varies by educational layer.
"During Economics Education Week, I saw that I'm not the only one who wants our economics education to better reflect today's world. The week offered a strong program of content and valuable handouts to get started."Â
