During this day you will be introduced to the Young Innovators program. Throughout the day, students from different schools will work on a circularity issue submitted by an organization. The day is interesting for education professionals who want to see how this innovative education program works, and for coaches who want to help students in the system-thinking process.
Young Innovators is an innovative educational program on sustainability and systems thinking for students in the upper grades of HAVO and VWO. The program is project-based and offers many innovative teaching methods, such as challenge-based learning and knowledge visualization.
Students engage with issues brought in by governments, foundations, associations and non-commercial organizations during lessons and a one-day Hackathon. This creates context-rich learning and allows students to unravel complex issues using examples in their own environment.
During the day, two times are built in when you are welcome. These are to 10 a.m., or to 12 p.m. and each session lasts up to one hour.
