Closing meeting Week of Economics Education

During Economics Education Week, dozens of education professionals from all levels of education show how they enrich their economics education with new economic thinking. In this way, they make their education more attuned to developments in society and economic science.

At the festive closing session, we'll pick up the net. We look back on a week full of inspiration, and talk through how to achieve richer economics education. We do this with, among others:

  • Ha-Joon Chang - Professor of Economics at the School of Oriental & African Studies (SOAS) - University of London & bestselling author of the book, among others Economics to feast on.
  • Bas van den Berg - researcher, strategic advisor on sustainability & education for The Hague University of Applied Sciences and author of the book Teaching during Transition(s).
  • Petra Prescher - educational publisher at Noordhoff, and member of the Supervisory Board of the Dutch Academy for Sustainable Education.
  • Eva Reuling - member of the Executive Board of the Hogeschool Utrecht
  • Femke Schootstra & Fara van Leeuwen -. economics students at Radboud University and affiliated with Rethinking Economics.
  • Henk Delger - coordinator of Master's program in Teacher of General Economics at the University of Arnhem and Nijmegen
  • Michiel Bart - curriculum developer of economics at SLO.

The closing session features an inspiring preliminary program. Prior to the closing event, you can attend the premiere of the documentary "May I Ask You Something" by Kees Klomp and Steven de Graaff.
