DEB Impact Day 2024: Creating value for social transitions within economy and business

On November 13, the Deansoverleg Economie en Bedrijfskunde (DEB) and ScienceWorks are organizing an Impactdag for the third time, this time in the center of Utrecht. The program consists of two parts: in the morning the presentation of the Impact Awards, followed by the Impactforum in the afternoon.

The morning program starts with plenary contributions by Peter Verhoef (Dean Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, University of Groningen & Chairman DEB) and Ricardo Copier (Project Manager of Humane Economy, Goldschmeding Foundation) on sustainable value creation for social transitions. Afterwards, DEB will present for the first time a five Impact Awards presented to Economics and Business students. These Awards, made possible by the Goldschmeding Foundation, recognize outstanding theses focused on social change. During the morning, the 15 nominees will present their theses.

The afternoon program consists of the Impact Forum. This promises to be another exciting debate on the future of Economics and Business. Speakers from science and practice will give their vision on how Economics and Business can contribute to societal challenges. You can participate in these discussions plenary or in working groups. Together, recommendations will be formulated on how these disciplines can best adapt to the demands of our time.

You are cordially invited to participate in DEB Impact 2024. Because the morning is more focused on education and the afternoon on research, you can also choose to participate in either the morning or the afternoon only. The Impact Day is organized by Deans' Consultation on Economics and Business (DEB) & ScienceWorks.
