On Tuesday, Nov. 19, the national Wo day of Economics Education Week will take place at the Free University in Amsterdam. The day is dedicated to future-oriented economics education.

The program at VU is put together in cooperation with Radboud University, Leiden University, Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Impact Forum and the Dean's Council on Economics and Business Administration.

The program of the national Wednesday Day of Economics Education Week takes place from 1:30 - 5:30 p.m.

  • 13.30 - 14.00 Walk-in
  • 14.00 - 15.30 Parallel sessions
    In parallel sessions, participants delve deeper around a specific theme, such as environmental sustainability, inequality, geo-economics, curriculum development and multidisciplinary education. After a number of presentations of good practices (subjects, courses, methods), sharing experiences on approaches, challenges and lessons learned, participants will engage in further discussions and share insights.
  • 15.30 - 15.45 Break
  • 15.45 - 17.00 Plenary closing
    Plenary discussion on the Future of Economics Education. With deans and practitioner economists, among others, we discuss what is needed for revisions in the (core) curriculum. What does this mean for faculty?
