Zadkine

On Friday, Nov. 28, Zadkine in Rotterdam will focus on the local-regional learning ecosystem within business education.

On Friday, November 28, Zadkine Business College and Albeda Economics and Entrepreneurship are organizing an inspiring day on future-oriented business and economics education. A meeting, especially for the mbo, in which we work together on tomorrow's education.

MBO teachers from the region are welcome to explore what it means to prepare students for an economy that balances social, ecological and financial values. What does that require of the education we provide today?

Programme

The program at Zadkine begins plenary, with a discussion of the Manifesto for Future-Oriented Business and Economics Education. In a panel including Jan Rotmans' Circular Campus, the four principles of the manifesto are discussed. What does it mean to give students not only knowledge and skills, but also a different economic outlook?

Afterwards, participants will work in smaller groups with practical examples, teaching materials and work formats. How do you teach students to build bridges between sectors? What does it mean to be able to deal with dilemmas? And how do we ensure that sustainability, inclusion and broad prosperity are not separate themes, but come back to the core of our education?
The program will conclude with a world café led by Dimitri Verzijl, in which we will look together at how to design a continuous learning line - from vo to wo - in which young people learn to contribute to an economy that works within the limits of our planet.
