Educational institutions in which future-oriented economics education holds a firm place can showcase themselves during Economy Education Week by becoming a hub. A hub is the central place in a region for future-oriented economics education. Education professionals with experience in integrating new economic thinking into their lessons organize sample lessons, discussion sessions, or workshops. Ideas about future-oriented economic education are flowing and people get inspiration on how to implement them in their teaching practices.

Christian Lyceum Apeldoorn

During the Week of Economics Education, the Christelijk Lyceum Apeldoorn will open its doors to show how they implement future-oriented economics education.

Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS)

During Economy Education Week, the Hogeschool van Amsterdam opens its doors for cross-pollination. With a diversity of keynotes, workshops and other surprising events, they bring and create ideas for future-oriented economics education.

The Hague University of Applied Sciences

On Tuesday, November 21, The Hague University of Applied Sciences will open its doors to give a sneak peek (together with its regional partners). They will present a number of inspiring examples, insights, forms, methodologies and (results of) practical research for future-proof economic education.

On Wednesday, November 22, Zwolse Koers, the partnership between Deltion College, Landstede Group and Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, is organizing a network meeting on future-oriented economics education in the Zwolle region. The program includes several workshops for and by teachers in secondary education, vocational and higher education. How do we give current themes such as sustainability a place in our lessons and how do we respond to developments in the regional economy?
