Manifesto for future-oriented business and economics education

There are thousands of them every year: school students taking (business) economics exams, intermediate vocational students earning a degree in the economics field, students graduating from higher economic vocational education, and students starting university bachelor's or master's programs in economics or business administration.

Together they form the new generation that is finding their way into sectors that are the backbone of our society. From here they build the society and economy of tomorrow.

Business and economics education an important lever for change toward a society that stays within the limits of the planet, where equal opportunity is central and where we work together for well-being for all - now and in the future.

To cash in on the important social value of this education, a continuous learning line from vo-wo is needed that trains for the future. Therefore, the sector organizations formulate the Vecon, the MBO Council Business Groups Economic Domain, the Association of Universities of Applied Sciences and the Dean's Council on Economics and Business Administration their vision in the manifesto future-oriented business and economics education.

The signatories call on education professionals, administrators, publishers and governments to work from this framework.
