That prosperity does not equal well-being is demonstrated once again by the recently published Monitor broad welfare from CBS. The monitor shows that although there is stable material prosperity, doing less well with other facets of wide prosperity, such as well-being, the quality of nature or social capital. More and more teachers are enriching their economics lessons by teaching students to look at this broad welfare. To this end, the monitor provides a nice overview of the various facets of broad welfare and insight into how they are doing.
